help with old student loan situation?

By
student loan deal

I have an old student loan. I owe $18,000. $9000 of that is interest! I have never paid on these loans…………….I know they are not going away and I need to get something figured out. What should I do? Someone told me there is a way to make some sort of deal to get the debt knocked down but i cannot pay anything off, i would only be able to make small monthly payments. The loans are from 1991, any advice?

Yes, the advice would be to negotiate some type of payment plan with the lender.

If these are publically funded loans, you *can’t* get rid of them, even in bankruptcy.

Start paying them off. Your student loans are not going away. It’s better to make a small monthly payment than no payment at all.

Hi,
I used “Credit Solution” to settle my debt and avoid bankruptcy. They managed to reduce my debt up to 58% and improve my credit score .It’s legitimate . I came across this company on NBC News Special Edition.Check it out here:
