any debt consoldiation company is going to cost you long term. both money and your credit history. better to talk to citizens advice. 14K is not a lot in the grand scheme of things

If your $14,000 in debt your credit score already sucks.
Consolidate at a lower interest with balance transfers and cut them up or put in freezer.Get a grip on what you can afford.
